Alaska is a land of dramatic landscapes, including glaciers, rivers, lakes, towering peaks (such as Denali at 20,320 ft), active volcanoes, and nearly 34,000 miles of coastline.
This tour explores Alaska’s iconic railways, including the Alaska Railroad and White Pass & Yukon Route, with opportunities to spot bears, eagles, and whales.

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1, Tuesday, 24 June - Fly from the UK to Vancouver. Overnight near the airport. Early arrivals can explore downtown via light rail, ride the Seabus, or enjoy a local pub. Optional tours start from Seattle or Fairbanks.
Day 2, Wednesday, 25 June - Early Amtrak Cascades train to Seattle (4 hrs), then transfer to the airport for a scenic Alaska Airlines flight to Fairbanks. Overnight stay.
Day 3, Thursday, 26 June - Free day in Fairbanks to explore its frontier charm. Optional visit to Pioneer Park and ride the narrow-gauge Tanana Valley Railroad.
Day 4, Friday, 27 June (B, L, D) - Board the Denali Star for a full-day luxury journey to Anchorage. Enjoy GoldStar class with meals and panoramic views—watch for Denali!
Day 5, Saturday, 28 June - Day trip on the Glacier Discovery Train to Whittier and Grandview. Scenic highlights include Spencer and Bartlett Glaciers. Return via Whittier.
Day 6, Sunday, 29 June (B, L, D) - Ride the Coastal Classic train to Seward. Enjoy views of glaciers, Moose Pass, and Resurrection Bay—gateway to Kenai Fjords.
Day 7, Monday, 30 June - Fly to Juneau (1 hr 40 min). Afternoon free to explore, ride the Mount Roberts Tramway, and spot bald eagles. Dinner at Red Dog Saloon.
Day 8, Tuesday, 1 July - Scenic ferry from Juneau to Skagway via Haines (7 hrs). Stay at Central Westmark Inn. Enjoy local dining and explore town.
Day 9, Wednesday, 2 July (B) - Free day to explore Skagway at your own pace.
Day 10, Thursday, 3 July (B) - Optional steam train ride to Fraser with historic Baldwin loco 73. Experience dramatic mountain rail scenery.
Day 11, Friday, 4 July (B) - Full-day ride on Train 1 to Carcross via lakes, mountains, and historic rail stops. Lunch on board. Return to Skagway in the evening.
Day 12, Saturday, 5 July (B) - Free morning in Skagway. Midday train to Fraser, then transfer by bus to Whitehorse for an overnight stay.
Day 13, Sunday, 6 July - Transfer to Whitehorse airport for return flights via Vancouver.
